Revolut has become one of the most popular financial apps in Poland, so it’s no surprise that players ask about online casinos that support it. On this page we explain, in theory, how a deposit and withdrawal with a Revolut account works, why the app itself often blocks gambling transactions, and — most importantly — what the legal status of online casinos actually is in Poland. Before you read on, keep in mind that choosing a payment method doesn’t change whether a given casino is operating legally.
Online casinos with Revolut — the toplist
The list above shows casinos that list Revolut as an accepted payment method in their terms — usually indirectly, through deposits by a Visa or Mastercard issued by Revolut, and sometimes via a fast bank transfer. The list is updated automatically, and each entry is covered in its own review, where you’ll find details on licensing, game selection and customer support.
Note that a casino listing Revolut in its terms doesn’t guarantee the payment will actually go through — the Revolut app has its own controls for gambling transactions, which we cover below. Deposit and withdrawal processing times quoted here come from the operators themselves; we have not tested them ourselves for every brand, so treat them as indicative rather than measured results.
Before signing up at any casino from the list, make sure to read the legality section below, as well as our guide to legal online casinos. The payment method is only a matter of convenience — the legal questions matter far more for your safety.
How to deposit with Revolut
Revolut isn’t a classic dedicated casino e-wallet like Paysafecard. It’s a fully functional digital bank with an account, a payment card and an IBAN. In practice, this means deposits to online casinos are made in one of two main ways: with a card issued by Revolut, or by a fast bank transfer from a Revolut account.
Depositing with a Revolut card
The most common scenario is a card deposit. Revolut issues Visa and Mastercard cards — both physical and virtual. In the casino’s payment panel you select the “card” option, enter the card number, expiry date and CVV code, and the transaction proceeds just like with any other card. The advantage of Revolut’s virtual cards is that you can generate them for one-time use and set your own limits, which can help with controlling spending.
Step by step, a Revolut card deposit usually looks like this:
- log in to your casino account and go to the cashier/deposit tab;
- select card payment (Visa/Mastercard);
- enter your Revolut card details or use a virtual card;
- confirm the amount and approve the transaction in the Revolut app (push authorization or 3-D Secure is often required);
- funds usually appear on your balance immediately, provided the payment isn’t blocked.
Depositing by transfer from Revolut
The second option is a transfer from your Revolut account to the operator’s account or to a payment intermediary. Revolut supports instant transfers through systems such as SEPA Instant, so funds can arrive quickly. This method tends to be used by casinos working with payment aggregators that accept many banks under the hood. In Poland, players often compare Revolut with other methods — for example with BLIK, which is the native Polish payment standard.
Revolut versus other methods
Compared with BLIK, Revolut gives access to multiple currencies and convenient limit management in the app, but BLIK is faster and simpler with Polish banks. Compared with Paysafecard, Revolut offers full banking functionality instead of a one-time PIN code. Each method has its own advantages, but in the context of online gambling one thing is essential: no payment method makes an illegal casino legal.
Gambling transaction blocks in Revolut
This is the most important part of this guide, and the reason many players land on this page frustrated. Revolut — like a growing number of financial institutions — offers tools for blocking gambling transactions and, in many cases, applies its own controls to payments flagged with a merchant category code (MCC) assigned to gambling.
The “Gambling block” feature
The Revolut app includes an option that lets users block all gambling-related transactions themselves. Once enabled, the card and account reject any payment flagged as gambling. This feature is part of Revolut’s responsible gambling tools and may be on by default or easily accessible in the security settings. If your payment to a casino is being declined, check this setting first.
Turning this block on or off may be subject to a cooling-off period — a deliberate delay designed to protect against impulsive decisions. This is a helpful safeguard if you’re trying to limit your gambling — if you feel you need this kind of barrier, it’s worth leaving it switched on.
Why a payment might be declined
Even if the self-imposed gambling block is switched off, Revolut may still decline a transaction for several reasons:
- the merchant (the casino) is tagged with a merchant category code (MCC) assigned to gambling, which is subject to internal restrictions;
- the anti-fraud system flagged the transaction as suspicious and blocked it as a precaution;
- daily or per-transaction card limits were exceeded;
- the operator routes the payment through an intermediary that Revolut doesn’t accept.
It’s worth stressing that a payment decline from Revolut isn’t an error on your part or a technical problem with the casino — it’s often a deliberate policy of the financial institution. Attempts to circumvent such blocks (for example, disguising the nature of the transaction) can breach Revolut’s terms and may lead to account restrictions or closure.
Withdrawals to Revolut
In theory, if a card or transfer deposit via Revolut went through, a withdrawal can follow the same route — in line with the “return to source” principle most casinos apply as part of their anti-money-laundering procedures. In practice, card withdrawals tend to be slower than deposits, and the casino may ask for identity verification (KYC) before transferring funds. Withdrawal times quoted by operators are reported as given and we have not tested them for every brand — treat them as indicative only.
Legality in Poland
This is a section that cannot be skipped, no matter how convenient Revolut is. Under Poland’s Gambling Act, the only legally operating online casino in Poland is Total Casino, run by the state-owned company Totalizator Sportowy. This means there is a state monopoly on organizing casino games online — no other online casino holds a legal license for this activity in Poland.
Casinos registered abroad, often under licenses such as Curaçao or Malta’s MGA, are not legal for players in Poland. We do not describe any offshore brand as “legal in Poland”, as that would be misleading. The domains of such casinos are added to the Register of Prohibited Domains maintained by Poland’s Ministry of Finance, and Polish internet providers are required to block access to them. Payment operators are likewise required to block transfers to entities on that register — which is an additional reason why payments, including those made via Revolut, are sometimes declined.
Advertising and promoting illegal gambling is prohibited in Poland. Importantly for players themselves, taking part in gambling organized in breach of the regulations carries the risk of sanctions under Poland’s Fiscal Penal Code, which can include significant financial penalties. Choosing Revolut as a payment method does not change this legal situation in any way: it’s the casino, not the deposit method, that determines legality.
If you want to play fully within Polish law, the only safe choice is Total Casino. You can read more about the regulations in our guide to legal online casinos, and about our methodology on our how we rate casinos page. It’s also worth checking our casino rankings and collected reviews to make informed decisions.
Responsible gambling: helpline 800 889 880
Gambling can be addictive. Regardless of which payment method you use, only gamble with money you can afford to lose, and never treat gambling as a way to make money or pay off debts. Features such as Revolut’s gambling transaction block are a valuable self-control tool — if you notice a problem developing, consider enabling them permanently.
Remember the 18+ rule — only adults may take part in gambling. If you or someone close to you is losing control over their gambling, free help is available. Poland’s 24-hour gambling problem helpline is 800 889 880. Calls are anonymous and free. You’ll find more guidance on our responsible gambling page. You can also set deposit limits, use self-exclusion, and enable breaks from play.
FAQ
Does Revolut block gambling payments?
Yes, it can and in many cases does. The Revolut app includes a self-service “gambling block” feature; once enabled, all transactions flagged as gambling are declined, and turning it off may require a cooling-off period. Even with the block disabled, a payment can still be declined by anti-fraud systems, because of the merchant category code (MCC) assigned to gambling, exceeded card limits, or because the casino operator is subject to a block. If your deposit isn’t going through, check your Revolut app’s security settings first. Keep in mind, though, that a decline is often a deliberate policy, and attempts to get around such blocks can breach Revolut’s terms and risk account closure. Regardless of payment method, the only legal online casino in Poland remains Total Casino, while offshore casinos are illegal for Polish players and are added to the Register of Prohibited Domains.
